I met Devon this year, in February 2004, at the occasion of Majandra and RoBERT's concert in Paris. Actually I didn't expect to meet him even if I knew he was Majandra's boyfriend. I didn't think he would come to France whereas one of my friend (who happens to be DevonOnLine's webmistress) believed he would be there and therefore she brought a picture of him, just in case ;) ...

We arrived at Fnac to attend Majandra and RoBERT's signing and introduction of their duet, Le Prince Bleu. After we watched the videoclip and we listened to their Q&A session, it was time for the signing. In order to give Majandra a pleasant memory of her second concert in Paris, her European fans offered her a big giftbasket full of specialities from their respective countries. While we were queuing, who did we catch a glimpse of? Dear old Devon ;) He was watching Majandra sign some autographs. Then we started shouting 'Devon, Devon' so that he saw us and my friend Laurence (after she suddenly dropped the giftbasket in my hands) showed him the photo of him she had brought. Devon then came to us and kindly signed it and even asked her her name so that he could personalize the autograph. Talking of which, when he looked at the photo she was holding out to him, he had this smirk which we are still wondering about: did he think 'oh god, this girl anticipated it all very nicely!' or was it 'oh I do look great on this photo' ;) ?


In the evening, we went and attended Majandra's concert and once again we met Devon. Actually I'm not sure I should say this but I hadn't recognized Devon when he went out of the taxi and told my friend Laurence (who was getting ready to take a photo) that it was not Devon. She almost killed me for that when he finally got out of the cab with Majandra as she had missed a good photo! LOL Anyway, fortunately, while we were queuing before the concert started, Devon came outside and took some photos of the fans waiting. He was standing near us and a few fans went and asked him to pose for photos with them or to sign autographs. Devon was very nice and kindly agreed to everything.
Later, we also saw him on stage before the concert started: he came and took some more photos of the fans in the concert hall this time. He sure loves taking pictures, it must be one of his hobbies ;) During the concert he also took tons of pics of Majandra's performance.

After the concert, to our great delight, Majandra and Robert did another signing session. While we were waiting in the yard, Devon came out and asked Franck Dauquier (the guy behind the concert and the duet) a new pen for Majandra. When we could at last come in the signing room, our whole group started singing 'Happy birthday Majandra' and Devon stood up, came to us and listened our little improvised 'concert': He and Majandra were all smiles. And at the end of the signing session, he kindly agreed on taking a group photo of Majandra with us all, the European pixies (nota: Majandra's fans are called pixies).

To cut a long story short, I met a very charming Devon Gummersall who was very nice and patient with the fans and very attentive towards his girlfriend. And I do think Majandra and Devon are a very well-matched and cute couple.
