Devon was at SXSW Festival (from 11 to 19 march) for the premiere of the latest movie he played in, Reeker. Here's a comment from Breathless who was lucky to meet him and spend some time with him:
"After Jason left,
we stayed and partied the night away. We
danced up a storm with all the hotties here, and then we bumped into
Devon Gummersall again. We danced with him until we closed the bar

Devon's latest TV movie (McBride: the chameleon murder) is aired on Hallmark Channel. Keri (aka Kashinn) gave us a little review of "McBride: the chameleon murder" which she was lucky to see this weekend:
"I thought the
movie was pretty entertaining. It was definitely a
mystery but with a Hallmark twist.
Devon plays Buddy- a sweet charming boy next door type - that is charged with murder. John Laroquette (McBride) is the lawyer that steps in to find the real murderer, and so the adventure begins. We follow McBride's crafty little mind through twists and turns where nothing is as it seems until the final reveal - which I'm not telling so no spoilers here.
Devon was primarily in the first half of the movie and more in the background for the rest of it.
Buddy was as simple and sweet as his name. I think Devon excels at creating sincere, endearing, nice guy characters like in My So Called Life. This role was no exception. "

We just learnt a little more information about the short movie Devon has written and directed thanks to Majandra Delfino who just answered some questions from her fans and she described it like this:
« ... the
movie is a coming of age story about a young
boy in his late teens on a road trip with his older friend and they
both really just realize things. My character is this girl they meet
along the way who falls in love with the teenager even though she is
22. The character in this are so deep and developed and it's more about
the individual moments than any epic/action occurrence. It's just about
life for these three people and that pivotal moment in everyone's lives
when they see life the way it is and forever change inside. »
Another great news: Devon will work again with Majandra on a at home music video for one of her songs.
Devon is also mentionned a few times about more personal questions.

Majandra Delfino wrote in her diary that she and Devon are currently working on a website of his short movies. That's great news and hopefully we will have the opportunity to see or buy his shorts through it.

Devon attended the Post Reception Party for the Latin Grammy's with Majandra. He looked really elegant and great, the stubble perfectly suits him!

Majandra Delfino came and wrote in her diary again and gave us some details and news about Devon's script:
« Devon and I
have been crazy trying to put his short film
together. We are both in it and he directed and wrote it and now we are
in post-production. I am doing all the sound stuff (looping, music
supervision, score and what not) and it's been fun and terrible all at
the same time…. ».

Majandra Delfino just wrote this in her online diary:
"Okay, well. A lot
has been happening lately. Devon wrote this
brilliant short film and we have been getting ready to film it. We will
film it all on Sunday. I'm really looking forward to it.
Acting, as a profession, can become so flat at times. Acting in this short and getting to be directed by, as well as act with, someone like Devon is so nice, it reminds me why I love to act. You need those reminders from moment to moment. There are so many instances that make you questions "do I like this and why?" and then you get these little creative gifts from time to time that show you "yes you like it and no you'll never know why, you just do". That explanation makes it even more mystical and addictive.
After we shoot it we will edit it and try and get a feature made where he can direct and I can be in it and we can recreate that feeling of enlightenment all over again. Lucky me eh?"

"Shortly after
those pics you see (Nota: some pics from her native
country, Venezuela) I flew straight to Miami and met up with Devon. It
was June and it was hot and we had a great time. He had been to Miami
once before but didn't get the chance to understand it. He gets it now
luckily, so we should be back there soon.
Anyway there's a pic of him and I at a steak joint about to eat with my parents. My step-dad took the picture. We had such a good time overall we kept missing our flights home. My friends didn't mind and neither did we."

Devon came to Paris with Majandra Delfino where she did a concert with French singer RoBERT.
He looked really cool and relaxed, he was there during the 2 female singers' signings and took lots of photos during Majandra's performance. He did show great kindness and patience towards the fans (he signed pics and posed for some photos with them.). For sure, the lucky fans were immediately won over by his charm!

Devon attended the 2d Zeke Lerner Bowl-a-Thon, a charity event in profit of muscular atrophy research. A few celebs joined in the event and agreed on playing bowling with fans and helping with the auction. Devon attended the Bowl-A-Thon with Majandra Delfino.
