The whole story:

It starts out with a family driving down the road, not paying too much attention and hitting a deer smashing it all over the front of the car!  Most of the movie centers around 5 college aged kids going on a road trip. Devon's character, Jack is blind. One of the guys, 'Trip' doesn't believe it at first and gives him a hard time...leading him into the "little girl's room" when he needs to use the bathroom, stuff like that! Trip has taken drugs from a dealer and when the driver finds out he has them with him, tries to leave him back at the diner they stopped in.

When she tries to leave her car won't run, they go back into the diner they just had lunch in and nobody's there. They're stuck! Trip fixes the broken fuel line, but they're out of gas and can't use the pumps 'cause they're locked and then tries to go find help down the road, and is brought back to the diner/motel later by an older guy in a motor-home, who's "looking for his wife", he's lost her somehow...

They start getting killed by this dark-robed figure! The blonde half naked girl, Cookie, gets her guts torn to bits, going to the "out house" (outdoors bathroom), then Trip gets it on the roof of the diner. Devon Gummersall in ReekerThe whole time the driver, Gretchen and Jack (Devon) are getting along great, making a camp-fire to cook and set up tents to sleep in instead of the motel next to the diner. She goes to find out where everyone is and he's left out by the fire and "senses" something, but is left alone. Jack goes to "see" if he can find anyone and comes across a dead deer in the motel lobby...Gretchen comes across the guy, who was with Cookie, but he's now dead having dived through a window trying to get away from the dark figure and gotten glass through the neck. When Jack shows up with blood on his hands, she's suspicious, but he explains the deer he found.

They figure something awful's going on and go to the camper and find the old man dead. Jack's left there to try and get someone on the radio but panics when he hears someone say "You're dead" and ties his sting to the camper and goes off to try and find Gretchen. When he's stumbling outside, we see the dark-robed figure come towards him, but Trip with one arm torn off (we thought he was dead) and Gretchen come and save him and go back to the motel and then the robed figure really does kill Trip, the grinder through the guts like the blondie!

Gretchen and Jack get on top of the camper to watch for the dark figure and it comes and almost gets Jack....who is drilled in the back of the head by the figure! They end up getting the gas that Trip has siphoned out of the camper and put it into their car and try to take off but the figure's on top of the car! Gretchen slams on her brakes and he falls off and when he gets up she smashes him into the camper! She's then driving down the road trying to get Jack some help when the figure is on top of the car again! She jerks the wheel sideways and the car rolls over!!

ENDING SPOILER!!!!!!!!!!!!!~~~~~~~~

The next thing you know..there's a scene of paramedics at a wreck and police trying to figure out what went on?! They've figured out that this old guy in a camper had a heart attack, and lost control and slammed into a car on the side of the road with the 5 college kids, the blonde girl having died of internal injuries, one having his arm ripped off and dying from internal injuries too and one going through the windshield and getting his neck sliced. They're talking about all the accidents that just happened that day including the family that died after hitting a deer and losing control of their car!

Actually, the twist was that none of the stuff at the diner/motel really happened. The "dark figure" was death, claiming each victim. Cookie, Trip and Nelson all dying in the "dream" of the same "kinds" of injuries they did in the real accident. As the police was talking about what happened, it flashed on how each one died.

That's pretty much it, but I must say, they had many VERY funny jokes scattered through the whole movie and had us laughing out loud and then screaming at something icky right after that! It was VERY well written and acted!! Devon's character was so sweet and darling and you really wanted him to live and end up with the girl at the end, which he did!!
